Stream Video from Your Cell Phone

Qik allows you to share videos live from your Blackberry and iPhone.  For WordPress bloggers, you can use this app to easily embed videos on your blog.  You can also automatically upload your videos to Facebook and Twitter to share what your seeing with all your friends or business partners.

One of the top Qikkers listed is Demi Moore (mrskutcher).  I thought it was awesome to be able to watch Demi’s unorchestrated live video while the director was filming on a movie set.

I was very excited to find this app and tried to use it on my lunch break, but alas, it requires WiFi or 3G.  Oh, well.  3G is not yet available in my area, so my live recordings have to be more planned out.  Hard to catch sporadic events with all this planning.  Hmm…I can record live from the coffee shop, my house, and Pizza Hut in another town.  Maybe next year if my wireless carrier decides or can afford to upgrade to 3G.

ANSCA’s Corona SDK: Design your own iPhone Apps!

Create An App for iPhones

Have an Intel Macintosh computer, a dream of designing your own apps or games, but don’t have experience with software development?  Two veterans from Adobe have come to your aid with Corona SDK.

Carlos Icaza and Walter Luh started a new software company called ANSCA.  They created Corona SDK for you to unlock your imagination and not be held back with programming.  They say it’s easier than Javascript and rivals Adobe’s Flash.

Corona SDK allows you to design, publish and distribute your app on iphone’s app store without royalties.  It’s so user friendly, that someone created a game called Box of Sox in less than 2 weeks.  Although, nothing’s stopping you from creating an app in less than 2 days if  you’ve got your concept and design layed out in your head.

Download your Corona SDK free trial at http://www.anscamobile.com/corona/ to create apps for your iPhone.   If you want to sell your app on the iPhone App Store, you will need to buy the full version for an intro price of $99.  A fair trade in my eyes.
