Motorola A45Eco

There was a recall on the Motorola A45Eco phone this week by I-Wireless due to a software glitch. I don’t think we’ve ever had this happen to my knowledge.  What happens is that when you try to set the alarm on the clock, the device resets all of the settings and in some cases powers the device off.  I don’t know if it’s all the Motorola A45eco’s made, or just a particular batch that this has happened to.

Being naïve about the technicalities, I think to myself how it would be nice to be able to just log on to Motorola’s website and download the software upgrades or patches like we do on other software programs. If I personally owned one and liked the phone, I’d rather get the patch than get a loaner phone and wait until the good ones arrived. Worse yet, what if no loaner phones were available.

Enough with the ramblings already. Just another day in the cellular world.
